Just because you started partying back in 89 doesn’t give you any authority over how people should dress. When I started partying, I loved how free I felt. And how it seemed like anyone could be themselves and fit in. If I ever felt this old school elitism that is pretty common nowadays in the scene, where everyone was so concerned with holding onto the way it used to be, I would have run in the opposite direction. I became a raver because it was a progressive and liberating thing to do. Not because I loved 90’s raver kid fashion.”
